Aims: |

units with distinguished performance in the previous year. 2. To encourage
improvement in administration, organization of activities, training and
various aspects. |

Prizes: |
|
1.
A ribbon
and the ‘Outstanding Unit badge’ will be awarded to the outstanding unit and
the members, as well as the Guiders. The Badge can be worn on the uniform for
one year. 2.
A
‘Certificate of Participation’ will be given to the units which are not
eligible for the Award. |

Nomination
and award process: |
|
1. All sections
in the Outstanding Unit Award Record Form should be completed. 2. Photocopies of all
supporting documents should be kept tidily and submitted to the Judging Panel
ONLY when necessary. 3. The Outstanding Unit
Award Record Form should be submitted to the Award Committee via the Region
Office by 14 July 2008. 4. Nomination by the Award
Committee will be submitted to the Endorsement Panel in mid-September 2008. 5. Results will be announced at the end of September 2008. (Download) |

Judging
Criteria: |
|
The outstanding
units should obtain a minimum score of
70% from the following areas: 1. General Performance of the unit 2. Administrative and financial management 3. Prizes received 4. Qualities of Guider(s) |

|
Appeal
Mechanism: |
|
Guider-in-charge
of the unit should complete the Appeal Form and submit it to the Region
Office within one week after the announcement of the results. Photocopies of
all supporting documents should also be submitted. An
internal appeal panel will review the appeal. |

Ceremony : |
