Headquarters Notices With effect from 18 November 2020


According to the updated Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap. 599G), the booking on Headquarters are updated as highlighted on blue.

* For activities to be held in venues, no more than FOUR participants including the instructor in a cluster could be conducted and a distance of at least 1.5 metres between groups should be maintained. 

#According to Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation, each room or partitioned area should not accommodate more than 50 people. If applicant is able to separate the participants in different partitioned areas, not more than 75 people can be accommodated in Hall.


Other preventive measures are as follows:

All venue users have to comply with the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap. 599G) on the prohibition of group gatherings of not more than the number of people as stipulated by the law. The Association will adopt special measures at the Headquarters to avoid people from gathering and to minimize social contact. Venue users must comply with the following special measures until further notice.

  1. Wear mask in all Headquarters areas, during physical activities and use of the venue.
  2. Perform temperature check at the guard house before entering the Headquarters.  People with fever symptoms will not be permitted to enter the Headquarters.
  3. Visitors may be required to leave except he/she enters the venue to perform official duty, to purchase girl guide uniform/ products in Guide Shop or has booked for use of Headquarters venues.
  4. Keep your hands clean all the time. Hand rub is provided in the Headquarters for necessary use.
  5. If the venue is booked for the purpose of meeting such as Annual General Meeting, the social distance should be maintained.
  6. To ensure the hygiene of the venue, 30 minutes will be reserved for cleaning before the next appointment.
  7. Toilet will be cleaned and disinfected every 4 hours.
  8. No eating or drinking is allowed in all venues.
  9. If anyone violates the guidelines above, the Association reserves the right to request that person to leave the Headquarters.
  10. Except venue users and event participants, other people are not suggested to stay in Headquarters in order to lower the risk of spread of virus during gathering of people.


The government is still implementing disease prevention and control measures to safeguard public health, thus any Girl Guides members who are intending to conduct Girl Guides’ programmes or activities in Headquarters should refer to HKGGA Special Announcement on Activity Arrangements (Updated as at 23 Nov 2020) published on the website of the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association


Cleaning arrangements are as follows:

  1. After every use of venue, tables / chairs / floor will be disinfected with 1 in 99 diluted household bleac
  2. Public facilities ( e.g. lift, lobby, corridor ) will be disinfected with 1 in 99 diluted household bleach twice a day.
  3. Frequently contacted surfaces (e.g. button, handrail, door handle, door knob, doorbell, power switch, table and chair) will be disinfected with 1 in 99 diluted household bleach twice a day.
  4. For obvious dirt, cleaning will be done immediately.
  5. Distilled water dispensers are cleaned daily. Venue users can bring their own bottle for refilling water.
  6. Toilet will be disinfected with 1 in 99 diluted household bleach every four hours.
  7. Liquid soap and disposable paper towel will be provided for hand cleaning.
  8. Users are reminded to put the toilet lid down before flushing and have proper hand cleaning after using the toilet.
  9. Maintain drainage pipes properly and pour about half a litre of water into each drain outlet (U-traps) every week to ensure environmental hygiene.
