Membership
Core Team Member
- Consists of 5-12 people elected through an Annual Election, with a term of two years, may serve for not more than two consecutive terms. Terms run from September to August of the year after the next, starting from September 2020
- Must be a current member of HKGGA;
- Must be aged between 18 and 30 (i.e. Ranger Guides or Guiders) at the time of appointment;.
- Appointed members will remain their role as the Core Team Member until the end of her term;
- Commit to consciously practise and promote the WAGGGS leadership model in the Association;
- Have participated international events, WAGGGS seminars or WAGGGS programme before;
- Passionate about the Guiding Movement;
- Possess leadership, problem-solving and organising/planning skills;
- Open minded and willing to undertake new and challenging experiences
YoWo Think Tank Member
- Must be a current member of HKGGA;
- Must be aged between 16 and 30 at the time of appointment (i.e. Girl Guides, Ranger Guides or Guiders). Appointed ambassadors must attend one training programme and complete one Working Task assigned by the Team within their term of serving in order to renew their membership as a YoWo Think Tank Member;
- Must complete relevant training course(s) before being appointed as a YoWo Think Tank Member;
- No maximum limit on the number of members;
- Recruited and may join at any time throughout the year;
- Membership term will be aligned with the Core Team, but may be renewed for more than one term until the age of 30 (e.g. if the Core team’s term is September 2020 – August 2022, a Member who joins in February 2022 will also end their membership term in August 2022)
- Commit to consciously practise and promote the WAGGGS Leadership Model in HKGGA (training courses will be given every year);
- Eager to develop leadership skills and support HKGGA;
- Passionate about learning through teamwork and international experiences;
- Passionate about the Guiding Movement;
- Open minded and willing to undertake new and challenging experiences
- Past participation in international events, WAGGGS seminars or WAGGGS programme before would be a bonus
Recognition
An appointment pin is awarded to appointed YoWo Think Tank Core Team Members and Members, to be worn during the period of their appointment (Core Team) / Membership (Members). The pin should be worn on the left chest of the uniform.
