Outstanding Unit Awards 2025-2026 – Assessment Process

Brownie, Guide, Ranger & Special Unit sections:

* Assessment Process *

• The “Assessment Record Form” should be completed for the appraisal period from 1^st July 2025 to 30^th June 2026.
• Completed “Assessment Record Form” should be submitted to the Headquarters/Island Centre/NT West Centre/Badgework Centre – Region Development Department either (1) in person; (2) by post, addressing to “the Organising Committee of the Outstanding Unit Award Scheme”; or (3) via email to oggu@hkgga.org.hk on or before 17^th July 2026.
• After District Commissioners’ checking, the “Assessment Record Forms” will be further reviewed in Division Team Meetings.  The Organising Committee will then perform a final check and verification of all “Assessment Record Forms” before passing the list of awardees to the Regional Development Team Meeting for approval.
• Nominations of the Outstanding Unit Award must be checked by the Division Commissioners submitted to Region Development Department on or before 22^nd August 2026.
• Final result of the Outstanding Unit Award will be uploaded to this website by 4^th September 2026.

* Judging *

All Outstanding Units should obtain at least 70% of the total score in the assessment covering the following areas:

• Administrative and financial management
• General performance of the unit
• Awards received
• General performance of the Guider(s)
• WAGGGS educational programmes

Happy Bee Hives & Golden Guide Groups :

* Assessment Process *

• ​The “Assessment Record Form” should be completed for the appraisal period from 1^st July 2025 to 30^th June 2026.
• The submission period commends from 12^th June 2026 to 17^th July 2026 receiving forms. Completed “Assessment Record Form” of "Happy Bee Hive Excellence Award" or "Golden Guide Group Excellence Award" and supporting documents should be submitted to the Headquarters, Affiliated Members Department (AMD) either (1) in person; (2) by post (dated by postmark), addressing to “the Organising Committee of the Outstanding Unit Award Scheme”; or (3) via email to oggu.amd@hkgga.org.hk on or before 17^th July 2026.
• After the assessment by Assistant Division Commissioners (applicable to Happy Bee Hive) or Division Commissioners (applicable to Golden Guide Group), the "Assessment Record Form" in which the units gaining at least 70% of the total score will be further reviewed by Assistant Division Commissioners and Division Commissioners on or before 17^th August 2026. The list of awardees will be approved in Division Team Meetings. The final check will be conducted by Organising Committee on 22^nd August 2026 whereas the list of awardees will be passed to Deputy Chief Commissioner (Membership Development), Assistant Chief Commissioner (Membership Development) and Region Development Team for approval.
• Final result of the Outstanding Unit Awards will be uploaded to the website on 4^th September 2026.

* Judging *

All Outstanding Units should obtain at least 70% of the total score in the assessment covering the following areas:

• Administrative management (applicable to Happy Bee Hive) / Administrative and financial management (applicable to Golden Guide Group)
• General performance of the unit
• Awards / certificate of appreciation / certificate of participation received
• General performance of the Leader(s)
