As to broaden the view for AYP Members on Traditional Japanese Culture, as well as offering a chance for them to complete the Gold Award Residential Project, Hong Kong Girl Guides organizes the five-day exchange tour. Via various sessions and meet up with Japan Girl Scouts, participants would have a detailed understandings on the importance on the coexistence of traditions and technologies. Details of the tour are as below:

Fee: |
$4500.- For students who are receiving financial assistances from “Financial Assistance Schemes (The School Textbook Assistance (TA) Scheme / The Student Travel Subsidy (STS) Scheme)” or “Comprehensive Social Security Assistance”, they could apply financial assistances from the AYP Programme Fund. |
Fee including: |
Round trip air ticket to Tokyo, Airport Service Charge and Tax, Additional Fuel Charge, Course Fee and Visits, Accommodations and Meals |
Fee not including: |
All personal expenses such as laundry, long-distance call, overweight charge for luggage, travelling insurance, etc. |
Note:
- Participants have to get the valid travelling documents ready including passport and HKID Card, and Visas or related documents for entering Tokyo and back to Hong Kong if needed. A minimum valid period of 6 months for the above documents are expected.
- All applicants have to join an interview for nominations. Nominations would be selected vased on the member’s past Guiding and AYP Experiences. Selection Board would consists of Deputy Chief Commissioner (Educational Programme) and Instructors of the captioned exchange tour.
- All nominees would be notified via email for submission of event fee, related documents and inform them about the course details.
- Participants have to attend all pre-trip meetings, prepare the journey log and to share their experience at the Division Guider’s Meetings after the trip.
