Number of Participants:

50  (On a first-come, first-serve basis; Applicants who failed to join the activity will be considered to next round recruitment)

Target:

Either the teachers working in the schools of Sai Kung and Tseung Kwan O District or Guiders under Sai Kung and Tseung Kwan O District

Qualification:

• Aged 18 – 65
• Full-time Kindergarden/Primary School/Seconedary School Teacher or Guider/Leader of Girl Guides in Sai Kung & Tseung Kwan O District
• People have not been diagnosed with any diseases related to the vocal cords
• No smoking and drinking habits
• Have not participated in any voice training before

Content：

1. Voice and vocal cord evaluation
2. Questionnaires
3. Throat endoscopy (Decided by the condition of epidemic)
4. Vocal fatigue prevention training
5. Simulation teaching (About 90mins)
6. After completing the research, participants will receive a voice preomilinary assesment report which worth HK$150 and a photo of the throat structure (may be carried out after the epidemic situation is completely stabilized), and priority on attending the workshops/seminars hold by the Speech Therapy unit by The Polytechnic University of Hong Kong for free admission. 

Format:

An one-off and one-on-one activity which lasts 2 hours and will be held in the PolyU campus.

Notice: The Organizer and Co-organizers will not notify the teaching school/Girl Guides               unit, participants attended in their own name. 

The event date will be notified individually by the organizer.

This activity is a "voice-related research project" organized by the Department of Chinese & Bilingual Studies, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
