Beijing Internship Program and Hong Kong Enterprise Internship Program 2023
The Hong Kong Girl Guides Association and The Scout Association of Hong Kong are cooperating to organize the Beijing internship from June to July 2023. This internship aims to deepen teenagers' understanding on the culture of Mainland job market.
The details of the internship are as follows:

Internship:
Will be arranged by Beijing Youth Federation
Target:
Girl Guides members or Hong Kong teenagers aged 18 to 30 with valid Hong Kong permanent identity card.
Fee:
Girl Guides members: HK$1,000 per person and a deposit of HK$1,000
Non-members: HK$1,500 per person and a deposit of HK$1,000
(The event fee and the deposit must be paid in two separate cheques. Participants who attend the entire event will receive a full refund of the deposit)
Fee includes: Transportation, accommodation, insurance, weekly internship sharing sessions, ice-breaking activities, farewell parties, and activities for exchanges, investigations and understanding of national conditions held on non-working days.

Features:
1. There are 20 working days in the internship that allows participants to experience the job market and workplace culture in the Mainland.
2. Internship sharing session will be held every Friday night that could share the experience with each other.
3. Visiting, study tours and exchange activities will be held on non-working days to strengthen understanding of mainland culture and economic development, and promote friendship between youths of the two places.
4. Participants would have to join a series of training and activities before the departure, so that the participants can understand the development of Mainland and deepen their understanding of the living and working conditions of the people in Mainland. Participants would have to submit a report after returning to Hong Kong to help consolidate the learning results.
5. Experienced leaders will act as the team leader of the internship team and will keep in touch with the participants, internship companies and the association.
6. The Association will hire local travel agencies for daily life consultation and immediate support in Mainland.
7. After returning to Hong Kong, participants could choose to extend their working experience in a two-week corporate internship in Hong Kong.

1. Please fill in the application form (Word/pdf) together with two cheques (payable to: Hong Kong Girl Guides Association), copies of Hong Kong Identity Card and Home Return Permit, and send to "International and China Liaison Office, The Hong Kong Girl Guides Association, 8 Gascoigne Road, Kowloon".
Remarks:
1. This activity is applying for "Funding Scheme for Youth Internship in the Mainland" of the Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission. Generally speaking, participants should not have participated in any other internship to the Mainland in 2023-24 under the Funding Scheme.
2. Participants will be selected and confirmed by the selection committee through interviews. The interview dates are tentatively scheduled for April 12 and 22, 2023, and the time and location will be notified later.
3. Participants must attend the pre-departure briefing session, workshop and related training for the whole period, and assist the internship group to hold sharing sessions and promotional activities within two months after the event.
