On 31 July, Ms. Chempaka Emanlin Pahamin, Chair of the Asia Pacific Region of the World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) finished her 7th National Jamboree 2024 in Mongolia. On her stopover in Hong Kong, she met with our Chief Commissioner Ms. Melissa Pang, BBS MH JP and her team, as well as some of our staff at the Headquarters.

Ms. Pahamin brought to us her insightful experiences from the Jamboree where themed activities around “Female Wellness” were creatively executed at the WAGGGS Village, whilst learnt about the highlights of our exchange programmes in Mainland China, Tokyo and Malaysia from our Commissioners. The group also took the chance to discuss various opportunities and challenges that member organisations are facing. Everyone enjoyed meeting each other. Looking forward, we aspire to work closer and achieve greater synergies in driving the development of the Guiding Movement.
