Learning Goal

Members use their creativity and make use of objects in nature to produce new products. They are encouraged to express their gratitude to the God too.

Instructions

Members are divided into several teams.

Representative from each team will get a question card. Exchange the question card with other teams after completing the instructions on the card.

Members share their feelings.

Leader should pay attention to how members influence each other.

Reference for Question Cards:

Card 1:

1. Use something from the nature to produce “clothes”.
2. Ask members to wear the “clothes”.

Card 2:

1. Find a creature.
2. Observe the action of the creature for one minute.
3. Discuss why it can survive.

Card 3:

1.  Describe your feeling with an object in the nature.

2.  Share your feelings with other members.

Card 4:

1. Find a tree that you like.

2.  Lean against the tree with the feet towards the trunk.

3.  Eyes look up.

4. Express your gratitude to God for the view you see.

Card 5:

1. Create a prayer about our five senses, i.e. sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch.

Card 6:

1. Make use of the materials from the nature to make the words "Thanks my God".

2. Find a place to display the product.

Card 7:

1. Members form a circle, facing to the audience.

2. One of them stands inside the circle and rolls the dice.

3. Everyone steps forward according to the number of dice. The eyes keep looking up or down. Members think of some methods to thank the god.

☑ Learning in small groups – Members are encouraged to express their opinions to facilitate peer communication.

☑ My path, my pace – Members make use of the nature to express feelings and express their gratitude to the creator of nature. They can always give praise to the others and maintain a humble heart.

☑Connecting with others – Members share their connection with nature. They may have different dreams and feelings. Members learn to appreciate the diversity of opinions.

Members can express their feelings in a sincere way in front of the public.

How can you connect this activity to the values of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting?

By expressing gratefulness to God, members elaborate their viewpoints on their belief. They learn to respect other people as well as other religions and believes.
