Computer Service Regulations
- Computer service is only available to members or participants in specified activities.
- Due to the limited number of computers, the use of computer will be based on first come first serve principal. ‘The first come first serve principal’ is depended on the time from when the user requests computer service at the Centre in person. Reservation by phone or by other persons is not accepted.
- Each member can use the computer only 1 session (2 hours) a day. When there is no other people waiting for use, a member can only use up to a maximum of 2 sessions (4 hours) a day.
- Service users are not allowed to switch on/off any power buttons, plugs, or remove wires or move equipment (hardware and monitor). Please contact staff if such needs arise.
- Service users are not allowed to modify, reset, install, copy, remove or damage any software, hardware or computer file setting.
- Service users are not allowed to use their own CDs, CD ROMs, audio CDs, digital audio and video discs or other computer software in the Centre.
- Viewing with obscene and indecent, violent, offensive, threatening and pornography websites are strictly prohibited. Playing online games or gambling is not allowed. The Centre reserves the right to suspend / terminate a user access to the computer service if the user engaged in any activity in violation of the Computer Service Regulations.
- Any illegal or unethical computer activities are prohibited. The Centre reserves the right to suspend / terminate a user access to computer service if the user engaged in any prohibited activities.
- The Centre shall not be liable for any damages or loss or claims resulting from the use of the computer services and facilities.
- Service user shall log off from the password protected websites whenever she/he finishes her/his uses of computer, which will help the user protect personal information and data.
- Please inform staff if there emerges any operational or misbehavior problem.
- Service users should take care of their personal belongings carefully. The Center is not liable for any loss, damages or claims.
- The Centre has the right to change or cancel computer service subject to actual situation.
- The Centre reserves the final decision to change or modify these Regulations.
