Video Production Workshop

(Note: Workshop would be conducted in Cantonese)

 

Learning Goals:

1. To encourage participants’ creativity to tell their own stories by different sound and light effects in a video
2. To equip participants with various multimedia production skills, such as video shooting, hardware and software handling, to enhance the life skills for future

 

Introduction:

This workshop will be teaching the basic knowledge of filmmaking, including video shooting, application of shooting equipment and software, as well as the post production skills on video editing. Participants will be able to create their own video in the workshop.

 

VideoPad (trial version) will be used during lesson. It is a video editing software for beginners. VideoPad is a free software, so participants can download it for free at home for practice.

 

Note: The workshop will provide participants with computer and basic shooting equipment such as camera, tripods and stabilizer. Participants are also advised to bring their own phones with shooting functions.

Venue:	Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC) [30 Pak Tin Street, Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon, Hong Kong (MTR Shek Kip Mei Station Exit C, 5-8 mins walk)]
Quota:	20
Target:	Guides, Rangers or Guiders aged 12 or above
Dress Code:	Uniform
Charge:	$50 (HKGGA has subsidized part of the workshop fee)

Remarks: Lunch time will be arranged for participant at the event venue. Participants should bring light packed lunch or enough money for ordering meal. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own tableware.

 

Application Guidelines:

1. Application would be handled by first-come-first-served basis, and would not be handled if the information provided by the applicant is incomplete.
2. Enrollment list would be posted on the event website.
3. The participant’s name could not be amended once the application is accepted.  If the enrolled participant could not attend the workshop please inform the Course Registration Staff as soon as possible.
4. For Bad Weather Arrangement (Refer to the weather report released by the Hong Kong Observatory 2 hours before the activity starts) please refer to the HKGGA website
