Green Organic Farm(1st Stage)
(Note: The activity would be conducted in Cantonese)
Learning Goals:
- Through organic farming and increasing the awareness on environmental protection, to have an understanding about the United Nations "Sustainable Development Goals" (including "Sustainable Cities & Communities", "Responsible Consumption & Production" and "Climate Action"), to being changes to the society.
- Facilitates communication, cooperation and mutual support between participants, in order to establish a good social network and improve relationship with families.
Period:
1st stage: June - Ocotber 2018 (10 gardening sessions)
*2nd stage will be started in October 2018 and the recruitment will be arranged in September 2018, please stay tuned for website update
Venue:
HKGGA Headquarters (G/F, 8 Gascoigne Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong)
Fee:
$200 per stage per standard farm (Size: 4 ft. X 3 ft.)
(Subsidized by Home Affairs Bureau and Family Council, fee including borrowing of plot and tools, providence of seeds, organic fertilizers, organic pesticides and 10 gardening sessions)
Target:
ALL Members, including Happy Bees/ Brownie Guide / Girl Guide / Ranger Guide/ Golden Guide/ Guider (Please apply in Family/ Unit Basis)
*Participants must be accompanied by a family member/ Guider/ adult

Briefing Workshop:
Date: 9 June 2018(Saturday)
Time: 14:00-15:00
Venue: HKGGA Headquarters
*Successful participants must send one representative to attend the briefing workshop to have better understanding on class regulations
Points to note before apply:
- The Farm is opened from 8:00am to 6:30pm, on every Monday to Sunday (Expect Public Holiday)
- Applications must be submitted in Family/ Unit basis by participants
- Each Unit must send a representative to attend at least 1 gardening session per month and 1 Farming Workshop (Details to be announced later)
Selection criteria:
Priority will be given to applicants who never joined the “Happy Organic Farm” activity
