Objective

1. Effective use of the adventure-based facilities for Low Event Rope Course in Sandilands Centre.
2. Understand safety measures when using the facilities.
3. Use Rope Course and adventure-based facilities as experiential learning tools so as to lead the participants safely and effectively in team building activities or training.
4. Effective use of the adventure-based facilities so as to lead the participants safely and effectively in team building activities or training.

Target

• HKGGA Members
• Current Appointed Guider of any section, Leader of Happy Bee / Golden Guide, or Commissioner
• Leader who has completed Level 3 (Part 1 &2) of the Leader Training Scheme.
• Non-Members are also available to apply.
• All participant must be 21 years old or above.

Teach the skills to lead Rope Course activities Debriefing skills Role and responsibilities of the Coach Skills in conducting Rope Course activities Crisis management Inspection of Rope Course Facility and operating procedures

 

Graduation Requirement

Participants who attend 100% of the session and complete the session assignment can attain the‘Sandilands Centre Low Event Rope Instructor Training Course Certificate’ issued by the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association.

 

Remarks:

Participants must register as the Sandilands Centre Low Event Rope Instructor, and able to lead at least one Rope Course activity as arranged by HKGGA within 3 years after the training. Otherwise the instructor would be disqualified with the qualification.

 

Qualification

 

Members / Non-Members who held ‘Sandilands Centre Low Event Rope Instructor Training Course Certificate’ is able to use the adventure-based facilities from Sandilands Centre.

When using the facility:-

• Ratio of Instructor to Participant is 1:12
• Adult who hold a valid First Aid Certificate must be presented at the activity
