"Dreaming in Sand, Building Your Reality" Sand Fun Day with the theme of "Metamorphosis of your Mind - from Thoughts to Realities" aims to inspire participants to unleash their imagination and creativity, manifesting their dreams. Through sand sculpting activities, participants will utilise sand as a medium to express their envisioned future, encouraging them to step out of their comfort zones and take the brave first step towards realising their ideals.

 

Participants will join the sand sculpting activity as a team. Each team will undergo sand sculpting training and learn to use the necessary tools, and then design and complete their sand creations. As an encouragement, various awards will be presented during the sand fun day.

Assembly time and location for Shuttle bus

Gather at 11:45 at Admiralty MTR Station
Note: The organiser will arrange shuttle buses to and from Shek O Beach and Admiralty MTR Station. Participants can also choose to travel to Shek O Beach on their own.

Reporting time and location 12:40 at Shek O Beach
Dismissal time and location 17:00 at Shek O Beach or 18:00 at Admiralty MTR Station
Target : Girl Guides members and their relatives/friends
Attire Outdoor uniform (Girl Guides members) or casual attire (relatives/friends)

280 (24 teams)

Team Composition
  1. Each registered team must consist of 3 to 12 members. Team members can come from different sections and units, and relatives of Girl Guide members are also welcome to join. The sand building activities will be conducted in teams of 6 to 12 people. Registered teams with 6 or more members can participate in the activities as a whole team with no changes made by the organiser or can choose to be merged to form a team of maximum 12 people by the organiser. For registered teams with fewer than 6 members, the organiser will facilitate team merging. Members from the same registered team will be assigned to the same activity team. The organiser will not accept any requests for specific team merging or refusal to merge.
  2. If the registered team includes members from the Happy Bee, Brownie, or Golden Guide sections, there must be at least 1 Leader/Guider/Parent accompanying the team.

Applicants shall apply as a team and must complete application and payment through the Girl Guides Management System (GGMS).

Remarks :
  1. Participants must agree to abide by and accept the Terms and Conditions. Participants aged below 18 must get consent from parent or guardian and upload the consent form to GGMS for joining the event.
  2. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. All applications are subject to successful receipt of forms and fees. If required information is not complete, the application will not be accepted.
  3. The registration result will be displayed in GGMS, and you will receive an email notification later.
  4. If there is a typhoon signal No. 3 or above, an amber, red or black rainstorm warning, or the Education Bureau announces the suspension of classes two hours before the start of the activity on the day, the activity will be postponed or cancelled.   5. The Association reserves the right of final decision on all events, including changes to the terms and conditions of this event, awards and other arrangements without prior notice.
  6. Any temporary changes or cancellations of relevant activities will be subject to the announcement on the conference website. The General Assembly reserves the right to amend and interpret the above rules.
