Purpose:

To provide opportunities for Girl Guides to enjoy camping, participate in Eight Point Programme activities, and share friendship with other Girl Guides.

Campsite:

Sandilands Centre (141, Wong Nai Chung Gap Road, Hong Kong)

Camp Period:

23/12 – 25/12 (Tuesday to Thursday)

Activity Content:

Cultivate teamwork, self-reliance and leadership skills, and learn camping skills such as cooking and knot tying.

Target Participants

Brownies and Guides from Outlying Islands Division

Lantau Island District: 23/12 3:00 pm; 25/12 2:30 pm

Cheung Chau District: 23/12 3:30 pm; 25/12 2:00 pm

Lantau Island District: Tung Chung Catholic School (Secondary Section)

Cheung Chau District: Central Outer Islands Ferry Pier - Pier No. 5 (Cheung Chau)

Camp Fee:

HKD $150 per participant (Brownie/Girl Guide) (Includes transportation, meals, activities, etc.)

Application Deadline

17/12 (Wednesday)

1. The maximum number of participants per Brownie/Girl Guide unit is 5, with an additional 5 as reserves.

2. Applications are not accepted via telephone or fax. Incomplete applications will be processed with lower priority.

3. Once an application is accepted, participant changes are not permitted without prior approval from the organizing committee.

4. Application results will be announced online. Please check the GGMS Activity Admission List. No separate notification will be sent to unsuccessful applicants.

2. A [Pre-Camp Memo] will be emailed to the responsible leader after the application deadline.

3. Please complete the Participant Consent Form and upload to GGMS.

Bad Weather Arrangements:

If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1, Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal or Thunderstorm Warning is still in force 3 hours before the activity commences, the activity will be held as scheduled.

If the Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above is in force, the activity will be cancelled.
