Campsites Notice(with effect from 17 November, 2022)

 

In light of the fact that the COVID-19 situation has continued to subside and is stabilizing gradually, Leung Sing Tak Sea Activities Training Centre, Jockey Club Yuen Long Recreation Centre, Sandilands Centre, Pok Hong Campsite and Jockey Club Beas River Lodge are resumed. The activity organized by Campsites, Division, District or unit should refer to HKGGA Special Announcement on Activity Arrangements (Effective on 17 November, 2022).

 

 In order to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F) and relevant requirements of administrative instructions, the Association will ensure necessary measures to be adopted at reopened venues. 

 

All venue users have to comply with all regulations, include but not limited to Cap. 599F Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation, Cap. 599G Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation and Cap. 599L Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation on the prohibition of group gatherings of not more than the number of people as stipulated by these Regulations. According to the aforementioned Regulations, the authorized officer appointed by government is being complied to inspect HKGGA Campsites. The users shall bear legal liability or responsibility for any non-compliance with the rules and regulations.

 

The Association will adopt special measures at the Campsites to avoid people from gathering and to maintain social distance. Venue users must comply with the following special measures. If anyone violates the guidelines above, the Association reserves the right to request that person to leave the venue.

No. of campers: Not more than 85% of the maximum capacity.
For activities to be held in venues, no more than 12 participants including the instructor in a cluster could be conducted. A distance of at least 1.5 metres between groups should be maintained when exercising (except during team competition or training). The organizer should consider the venue depending on the space required and nature of the activity. The Association reserves the right to reject the application and request that person to leave the venue if anyone violates the guidelines.

1.    Only ONE organization will be served each time.
2.    The organizer is requested to ensure users are not currently subject to any quarantine order issued by the Government. If the users have symptoms of cough, shortness of breath, breathing difficulty and sore throat, please seek medical advice immediately.
3.    Wear mask in all areas, during physical activities and use of the indoor and outdoor venue (except exercise session).
4.    All persons are required to scan the "LeaveHomeSafe" QR code and perform temperature check before entering. People with fever symptoms will not be permitted to enter the Headquarter. 

5.    All persons (except exemptions*) entering or remaining on Campsites must comply with the requirement of the Vaccine Pass. Persons under the category of Red Code are not allowed to enter Campsites in the capacity of a participant, user or visitor. 
6.    For the booking involved with exercising, campers are required to present the QR Code for scanning upon entry. Persons under the category of Red Code or Amber Code are not allowed to enter Campsites in the capacity of a participant of the booking involved with exercising.

*Exempted scenarios include:
A.    a person aged below 5;
B.    holders of the COVID-19 Vaccination Medical Exemption Certificate (Exemption Certificate);
C.    the person enters Campsites only for—
(i) only purpose of delivering or picking up of an article at Headquarter; or
(ii) performing necessary repairs at Campsites.
For circumstance C, please make a registration at the front gate before entering the Campsites.

7.    Keep your hands clean all the time. Hand rub is provided in Campsites for necessary use.
8.    Barbecue sites resume normal operation.
9.    Other Special Arrangement
Sandilands Centre

  •  Coach and participants’ ratio for rope course is resumed to 1:12 and participants have to batch to no more than SEVEN participants per group. No more than 12 persons including the coach in a cluster could be conducted and a distance of at least 1.5 metres between groups should be maintained all the time. 

Jockey Club Beas River Lodge

  •  Towel rental service has been suspended
  • Special Arrangement of Dining Room:
    As reference to the latest specifications and directions in relation to catering business issued under Camp 599F, campers are required to present to campsite staff a photo showing the negative RAT result obtained within 24 hours for due diligence checking before entering Dining Room, and for inspection by authorised officers upon request. The camper shall mark on the RAT testing kit his/her name as well as the date and time of taking the test. He/she shall take a photo of the testing kit and save it in his/her mobile phone for checking. For epidemic prevention reasons, there is no need to present the testing kit. To avoid the consequences of a positive case, the RAT should not be conducted in public areas. 
    If the camper possesses a SMS notification (mobile phone text message) containing the result of a PCR test, the result of which is negative, and the SMS was issued within the 48 hours preceding his/her entry into Dining Room, then he/she would be taken to have complied with the requirements pertaining to undergoing the RAT.

10.    Special set-up are required for the dining venue

  • Tables are separated by at least 1.5 meters
  • Maximum capacity for each table is 12 participants

11.    No eating or drinking is allowed inside all facilities and venues except in the dining venue and meal break.No eating or drinking is allowed inside all venues.
12.    If anyone violates the guidelines above, the Association reserves the right to request that person to leave the venue.

Cleaning arrangements in campsites:
1.    After every use of venue, tables / chairs / floor will be disinfected with 1 in 49 diluted household bleach.
2.    Equipment, tools and service places or area will be disinfected with 1 in 49 diluted household bleach before and after each use
3.    Public facilities will be disinfected with 1 in 49 diluted household bleach twice a day.
4.    Frequently contacted surfaces (e.g. button, handrail, door handle, door knob, doorbell, power switch, table and chair) will be disinfected with 1 in 49 diluted household bleach twice a day.
5.    For obvious dirt, cleaning will be done immediately.
6.    Water dispensers are cleaned daily. Campers should bring their own bottle for refilling water.
7.    Toilet will be disinfected with 1 in 49 diluted household bleach every four hours (except family unit and twin-bed room).
8.    Liquid soap will be provided for hand cleaning.
9.    Users are reminded to put the toilet lid down before flushing and clean and wash hands properly after using the toilet.
10.    Maintain drainage pipes properly by pouring about half a litre of water into each drain outlet (U-traps) every week.
