HKGGA Special Announcement on Activity Arrangements (With effective from 30 September 2022)

As the epidemic trend continued to be stabilized, the Government announced the further relaxation of social distancing measures, the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association will relax the relevant measures on activity arrangements. Although the current pandemic condition seems stable, we urge our members to work together in maintaining the awareness of disease prevention and strictly follow the prevention measures while participating in the coming face-to-face or online unit meetings/ activities/ meetings/ training. The following activity arrangements will be implemented with immediate effect:

 

1. Prevention and Control of Disease (Vaccine Pass) Regulation (Cap. 599L) is which provides that from February 24 onwards, the Vaccine Pass will be applicable to (1) all catering business premises; and (2) scheduled premises specified in the Direction under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F). 

All persons (except exemptions*) entering or remaining on Headquarters (except Guides Shop) must comply with the requirement of the Vaccine Pass. Please present the QR Code for scanning upon Entry. Persons under the category of Red Code or Amber Code are not allowed to enter the Headquarter (except Guide Shop) in the capacity of a customer, user or visitor. Starting from 30 September 2022, the Vaccine Pass requirements will be extended to cover children aged 5 to 11 and the vaccination requirements applicable to persons aged 12 or above will be adjusted. *Exempted scenarios include:

      1. a person aged below 5;
      2. holders of the COVID-19 Vaccination Medical Exemption Certificate (Exemption Certificate);
      3. the person enters the Headquarters only for

(i) only purpose of delivering or picking up of an article at the Headquarter; or

(ii) performing necessary repairs at the Headquarter.

2. In response to the demand on meetings, activities and trainings, day camps, evening camps, residential camps and overnight wild camps are allowed to be organized by Headquarters, Division, District and Unit, but must strictly adhere to the Guidelines of the Association (Appendix 1), and venue guidelines provided by the organizer, venue providers or relevant government departments (such as Education Bureau). All participants must provide a negative rapid antigen test result for the face to face meeting, activities,training or event.

 

2.1 Activities or training must be approved by the Assistant Chief Commissioner/Deputy Chief Commissioner.

2.2 Camping activities must be approved by the Assistant Chief Commissioner/Deputy Chief Commissioner before submitting the application to the Programme Department.

 

Responsible Commissioner must ensure the activity and training should comply with the requirements stipulated under Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap.599G) and strictly adhere to the Guidelines of the Association. Please be aware of the government precautionary measures and social distancing requirements to minimize the risk of infection. Approved unit activities must comply with the requirements stipulated under Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap.599G) (Appendix 1). Among both, video conferencing remains the prior recommendation for unit meetings/activities.

 

3. ALL face-to-face unit meetings, Happy Bees’ unit meetings, Golden Guides’ unit meetings can be resumed without approval in advance. All participants must provide a negative rapid antigen test result for the face to face meeting.

 

School units, in which unit meetings are located in schools, may resume unit meetings under the instructions of respective schools and should strictly adhere to the requirements stipulated under the guidelines on arrangements for assemblies/activities of the school and Education Bureau. 

 

Golden Guide Groups, which unit meetings are located in Elderly Centre/Elderly Home, may resume unit meetings under the instructions of respective Elderly Centre/Elderly Home and should strictly adhere to the requirements stipulated under the guidelines on arrangements on assemblies/activities of the Elderly Centre / Elderly Home and Social Welfare Department.

 

4. Meetings, activities or trainings for adult members can be resumed and should comply with the requirements stipulated under Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap.599G) and strictly adhere to the Guidelines of the Association (Appendix 2). The meetings/trainings are recommended to offer both video-conferencing or face-to-face options for the participants. All participants must provide a negative rapid antigen test result for the face to face meeting, training or event.

 

5. The HKGGA Headquarters and campsites are reopened. Please refer to the Headquarters and Campsites circulars for details. Please stay tuned to our Association’s website for the latest updates, or contact the booking office at 2359 6850.

 

6. HKGGA Tin Shui Wai Pansy Ho Activity Centre & HKGGA Jockey Club Tung Chung Activity Centre is reopened. Some regular courses are resumed. For enquiry, please contact the staff of the respective centres:
