How to Apply
This workshop would be registered through GGMS-OCRS (Online Course Registration System).
All qualified applicant should have already registered in GGMS as Guiders. Please complete the course registration and settle the course fee directly through OCRS in GGMS.

Arrangement on Prevention and Control of Disease
Participants who join the face-to-face training must comply with the requirements stipulated under Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap.599G) and strictly adhere to the latest Headquarters Notice on the Prevention and Control of Disease. 12th Overnight Residential Camp Training Course
Objectives
To let Leader experience the fun of residential camp. Upon completion of training, Guider can organize an overnight residential camp for her Brownie, Guide or Ranger unit in any campsite run by the Girl Guides Association.
For Happy Bee and Golden Guides Leader:

After completing Leader Training Course Level 1, you may attend courses in different levels among Leader Training Scheme for your personal development.

You are not allowed to organized Overnight Residential Camp for your unit but you could assist in Brownie/Guides/Ranger's Overnight Camp as Camp Staff.

A. Pre-camp Training for Residential Camp

Philosophy and meaning of residential camp activities

How to plan residential camp activities for Brownies / Guides / Rangers

Camp staff and their roles in residential camp

Introduction to Qualification Kit (Major points)

Games / Activities / Skills Learning (mainly on indoor activities / learning, adding in outdoor activities in accordance with facilities available in the venue, or content of any badges which can be assessed by Appointed Guider)

Preparation for residential camp
B. Overnight Residential Camp Training (practicum)

Implementation of patrol system (patrol duties, patrol corner…)

Cooking by gas stoves (patrol, central methods)

Camp light programme (indoor) / thematic evening activities (performance by patrol)

Games / activities / skills learning (practice)
Target

Present Appointed Guider of any section, Leader of Happy Bee / Golden Guide or Commissioner.

Suitable for Leader who has completed Level 1 of the Leader Training Scheme.

Completion Requirement
Participants must attend the sessions with 100% attendance, and complete all session assignment so as to be awarded with the “12th Overnight Residential Camp Training Course” Certificate. There is no make-up session provided.
