The Leader Training Scheme – Introduction

 

With the progressive level in seven rainbow colors, the Guiders or Leaders could arrange their own progress in the Leader Training Scheme by flexible learning time and progress, as well as their own interest and learning areas, in order to broaden their own development horizons, and provide them to arrange more varieties in their own Unit, and to match up with the learning needs of the Girl Guides.

 

The Training Courses would be of flexible schedule and with learning progression, to equip Guiders or Leaders with both guiding knowledge and skills. It aims to develop outstanding Guiders or Leaders and to act on, learn and contribute via learning by doing.

 

Leaning Objectives by levels:

 

Level 1 – To know about the Guiding Movement.  Guiders or Leaders would have a basic learning on their own work tasks be able to run the unit and bring fun to Girl Guides.

 

Level 2 to 3 – To enhance Guiders or Leaders on the Unit Management and more advanced skills on leading a Unit, to strengthen the learning on guiding skills.

 

Level 4 to 5 – To allow the Guiders or Leaders to develop deeper in their own areas of interest, to broaden their horizons, and to work with other Guiders or Leaders on their skills and experiences.

 

Level 6 – To equip the Guiders or Leaders with professional skills to attain various guiding qualifications.

 

Level 7 – To focus on professional skills in order to act with the Mission of Hong Kong Girl Guides and serve the society.
