Empowering Girls to Lead Training Course (English)

 

Objectives

Leaders offer life guidance to girls. This workshop helps Leaders understand that empowering girls and developing leadership are foundational to the Guiding Movement. Part of the leader’s role is to encourage good decisions and develop girls to manage tasks / activities on their own so that each girl can become a responsible adult.

 

Content

  1. Basic Coaching Principles
  2. Tips for Empowerment, including understanding empowerment and leadership
  3. Applying Promise & Laws, embracing every girl as a valued member of Guiding
  4. How to establish effective leadership
  5. Consultative leadership 
  6. Help Leaders develop leadership and empower girls to lead through the theory of multiple intelligences.

Who should attend

  1. An Appointed Guider or Leader of any Section OR Commissioner; and
  2. Has completed Level 1 of the Leader Training Scheme (ELTC)
    Remark: Please submit a copy of ‘English Leader Training Course – Level I’ certification

Completion Requirement

Participants must attend 100% of all sessions, and complete all the session assignments so as to be awarded with the “Empowering Girls to Lead Training Course” Certificate. There is no make-up session provided.

This workshop would be registered through GGMS-OCRS (Online Course Registration System).

All qualified applicant should have already registered in GGMS as Guiders. Please complete the course registration and settle the course fee directly through OCRS in GGMS.
